A Day in Nichinan

One of the many exciting things that we did today was visit Obi. Obi is a famous city where samurai used to live. It has many historical aspects! We went to the Komura Memorial Hall. The memorial hall is a museum. The hall opened in 1993. The hall focuses on Jyutaro Komura who was born in 1885 in Obi. He went to Harvard university. Inside the hall you can read about his life and look at pictures of him, his clothing and a video of his life. Another thing we did was we went to an old samurai house in which we tried on real Kimono. The one I tried on was pink, gold and red. It was beyond gorgeous. I was very excited to see the beautiful scenery and walk around such a historical place. When touring , we went on a jinrikisha which is when a man is carrying you in a cart. It was scary but also pretty fun. I'm glad that I was brace enough to try it !
